Nov 14, Ojinaga, Mex to Creel, Mex – 470km mostly on route 16

I’d crossed over into Mexico at sundown the night before. The border crossing from Presidio, TX to Ojinaga, Mex was really easy. I had photocopies of all documents already in hand.

Stayed at a pretty run down hotel for 200 pesos ($20 USD, easy conversion). The brother of the front desk clerk let me keep my bike next door. Great guy, he wouldn’t take any money but I insisted.

Kept my bike safe for the night

Perfectly paved twisty road through the Sierra Madres. Had to go through a military check point and a customs check point. Both were no sweat. Neither of them asked for documents.

I made it to Creel just after dark. Grabbed a place for $150 pesos for the night. Ate. Went to bed.
